Kräftiges Goldgelb. Intensive Honignote, feine tabakige Würze, saftige Steinobstaromen, ein Hauch von Grapefruitzesten. Am Gaumen kraftvoll, saftiger Nougatton, weißpfeffrige Nuancen, etwas Tee und Gewürze, kleidet den Gaumen vollständig aus, ein opulenter Wein, der den Jahrgang perfekt darstellt, große Länge, sehr gutes Entwicklungspotenzial. The 2004 #7 Welschriesling Trockenbeerenauslese Zwischen den Seen displays the glazed pineapple and candied lemon aspects of this variety, beginning with its mouthwatering aromas, continuing onto a palate of startling viscosity and palpable richness, and carrying into a finish whose 246 grams of residual sugar are very much evident, but which still stays succulent and fresh. Time, I suspect, will bring considerably more complexity to this T.B.A., as well as of course slim it down a bit, lower the perceived sweetness level, and bring an as yet subtle note of caramel to the fore. 93/100 The Wine Advocate / David Schildknecht

Fermented for several months and aged for about two years or more in stainless steel tanks, the 2020 Trockenbeerenauslese No. 3 Scheurebe Zwischen den Seen opens with a clear, intensely aromatic and fruitdriven bouquet of passion fruit, lemons and grapefruits as well as candied pineapples, mango and maracuja. Dense, lush and round on the pala te, this is a sweet and intense but savory, lively, very elegant and tropical TBA with typical Scheurebe features and a stimulatingly tart and bitter finish. The terroir salinity is still very discreet but palatable on the finish. The wine is really sweet on the palate but also balanced and even delicate. It will gain enormous complexity over the next 20-25 years and become more of a terroir wine than a Scheurebe varietal wine. 10.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork.
