2015 Blend I

Blending 80% Zweigelt with 20% Blaufränkisch, the 2015 Blend 1 Trocken shows an elegant, deep and concentrated bouquet of ripe and toasty dark fruits (blueberries and black berries) with caramel and chestnut aromas. Very intense and aromatic on the palate, this is a full-bodied and enormously concentrated big red wine with ripe and lush fruit, fine and elegant tannins and good mineral tension on the finish. Impressive, especially for lovers of bigger and concentrated wines with elegance and freshness. Bottled in September, tasted in December 2018. 90/100 The Wine Advocate / Stephan Reinhardt

2020 TBA No. 1 Zweigelt
Vinified in new barriques for more than two years, the 2020 Trockenbeerenauslese No. 1 Zweigelt Nouvelle Vague displays a brick, almost dark salmon color. It is intense and finely concentrated yet also super pure, fresh and elegant on the exotic, tropical nose with candied orange zest and sugared pink grapefruit aromas intertwined with notes of dragon fruits, ly chee, plums, cherries, fresh strawberries, raspberries, coconut (Bounty) and nougat notes. Dense, round and sweet but elegant and refined on the palate, this is an intense yet balanced, stimulatingly saline and nicely bitter reddish/pink TBA with a serious and long finish structured by tart but fine tannin bitters. Try it with game dishes, classic tartes and chocolate desserts. 10.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in Lütjensee, Hamburg, in June 2023. To be released in mid-September 2023. 95+/100 Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate Helles Kirschrot, Ockerreflexe, breite Randaufhellung, Frische Kirschfrucht, zart nach Dörrzwetschken, ein Hauch von Nougat, zart nach Orangenzesten. Saftig elegant, feine Textur, rotbeerige Nuancen, sehr gut balanciert, zeigt gute Länge, bereits zugänglich und antrinkbar. 94/100 Peter Moser, Falstaff Weinguide 2023/24

60 Years Anniversary TBA Magnum
The apricot-coloured 2017 Welschriesling Trockenbeerenauslese 60th Anniversary, which was tasted as a sample from the 1,000-litre oak barrel, is a tribute to the early days when the grapes for sweet wines were crushed for one day and stored on the full lees in large oak for almost a year. With yeasty aromas on the intense and concentrated nose, reminiscent of stewed apricots, this is a rich, lush, elegant, very dense and persistent TBA with great finesse and very fine tannins. A marvellous, very long, fresh, complex yet delicate TBA with a beautiful salinity. 12% alcohol. A great new (old) style for Kracher. Tasted in Illmitz, December 2018 (WineAdvocate)

2004 TBA No. 3 Traminer
Strong golden yellow colour. Delicately smoky, fine orange zest, rose oil, perfect varietal characteristics. Powerful on the palate, fine wood spice, still needs some time to fully digest the wood, ... (from 2005 the Traminer will be matured in larger barrels to shed its somewhat "French" flavour). Mineral and well persistent, rose petals on the finish, this wine is still a long way from being ready to drink. The 2004 No 3 Traminer Trockenbeerenauslese Nouvelle Vague offers a fascinating nose of alkaline brine, faded roses, honey and celery seed that puts one in mind a bit of an older wine. Relatively firm on entry, this Traminer fills the mouth with subtle mint, rose, lychee, and celery seed, without being as extroverted as one would expect from the variety or from this degree of over-ripeness. Exuberance is held back for the finish, where a concentration of mint, cinnamon, and celery seed penetrate impressively, although residual sweetness has the last word. 90/100 The Wine Advocate / David Schildknecht

2004 TBA No. 2 Welschriesling
Medium golden yellow in colour. Delicate leafy notes of cooked rhubarb, peach and a fine yeast component on the nose, fine minerality, gains tropical fruit nuances with air. Fine honey on the palate, fresh structure, very well-integrated acidity, a hint of apricot, remains very persistent, well-balanced, very accessible, already at peace with itself.
