2013 TBA No. 7 Welschriesling

Weinlaubenhof Kracher , Österreich
Strong, bright golden yellow colour. Fine yellow fruit nuances underlaid with delicate herbal spice, a hint of botrytis, delicate honey flavour, multi-faceted bouquet. Juicy, harmonious, perfect interplay of sweetness and acidity structure, ripe stone fruit nuances on the finish, honey in the aftertaste, still some baby fat.

60 Years Anniversary TBA Magnum
The apricot-coloured 2017 Welschriesling Trockenbeerenauslese 60th Anniversary, which was tasted as a sample from the 1,000-litre oak barrel, is a tribute to the early days when the grapes for sweet wines were crushed for one day and stored on the full lees in large oak for almost a year. With yeasty aromas on the intense and concentrated nose, reminiscent of stewed apricots, this is a rich, lush, elegant, very dense and persistent TBA with great finesse and very fine tannins. A marvellous, very long, fresh, complex yet delicate TBA with a beautiful salinity. 12% alcohol. A great new (old) style for Kracher. Tasted in Illmitz, December 2018 (WineAdvocate)
