2009 TBA No. 1 Welschriesling

Bright crisp red. Aroma of ripe strawberries and cherries. Aromas of red currants and stewed sour cherries on the palate, sweet strawberry jam, clear red wine character. Delicate citrus notes and fine rum pot fruit notes on the finish.

Fermented for several months and aged for about two years or more in stainless steel tanks, the 2020 Trockenbeerenauslese No. 3 Scheurebe Zwischen den Seen opens with a clear, intensely aromatic and fruitdriven bouquet of passion fruit, lemons and grapefruits as well as candied pineapples, mango and maracuja. Dense, lush and round on the pala te, this is a sweet and intense but savory, lively, very elegant and tropical TBA with typical Scheurebe features and a stimulatingly tart and bitter finish. The terroir salinity is still very discreet but palatable on the finish. The wine is really sweet on the palate but also balanced and even delicate. It will gain enormous complexity over the next 20-25 years and become more of a terroir wine than a Scheurebe varietal wine. 10.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Helles Gelbgrün. Feine frische Apfelfrucht, zart nach Honigmelone, ein Hauch von Wiesenkräutern. Saftig, elegante Textur, weiße Tropenfrucht, dezente Säure, zitronige Nuancen und angenehme Mineralik im Abgang. Ein vielseitiger Speisenbegleiter.

Medium greenish yellow, silver reflections. Subtle herbal spice, underlaid with ripe yellow tropical fruit, delicate smoky touch. Medium complexity, delicate peach, fresh acidity, honey nuances in the finish, pineapple in the aftertaste. 90/100 Falstaff/Peter Moser

Intense rose aroma, rose oil, rose water, strong strawberry aroma, red berries, citrus notes give the wine a fresh, fine nutmeg note, very subtle tannin gives the wine character.
