Strong yellow gold, wonderful grape aromas, you can literally see the fruit hanging from the vine in the glass, superb nutmeg notes, great spiciness on the palate, the salty "bitterness" of the fully ripe thick-skinned grapes, great varietal aromas, paired with an opulent residual sugar of enormous firmness, a symphony of flavours begins, great finesse on the finish, a class wine for lovers of bouquet varieties. The raspberry, orange blossom, and cherry-scented 1999 #4 Muskat Ottonel Zwischen Den Seen Trockenbeerenauslese is a thick, unctuous tangerine-flavored fruit bomb. Its oily character slathers the palate with jellied kumquats, mandarins, and tangerines, all of whose flavors linger throughout its marvelously extensive finish.
