Strong golden yellow colour. Delicately smoky, fine orange zest, rose oil, perfect varietal characteristics. Powerful on the palate, fine wood spice, still needs some time to fully digest the wood, ... (from 2005 the Traminer will be matured in larger barrels to shed its somewhat "French" flavour). Mineral and well persistent, rose petals on the finish, this wine is still a long way from being ready to drink.
The 2004 No 3 Traminer Trockenbeerenauslese Nouvelle Vague offers a fascinating nose of alkaline brine, faded roses, honey and celery seed that puts one in mind a bit of an older wine. Relatively firm on entry, this Traminer fills the mouth with subtle mint, rose, lychee, and celery seed, without being as extroverted as one would expect from the variety or from this degree of over-ripeness. Exuberance is held back for the finish, where a concentration of mint, cinnamon, and celery seed penetrate impressively, although residual sweetness has the last word.

Strong onion red colour, ochre reflections, wide rim brightening. Fine nuances of strawberry jam, rose leaves, underlaid with a little tinned peach, very attractive bouquet with floral nuances. Juicy, elegant, silky texture, fine spiciness, red berry notes, pleasant sweetness, mineral-salty finish, a hint of nougat in the aftertaste, yellow peach on the palate.

"Aged in new barriques for 24-28 months, the 2020 Trockenbeerenauslese No. 5 Rosenmuskateller Nou velle Vague offers a clear, deep, intense and pure yet complex bouquet of blood oranges, roses, herbs, Italian salami, game, coffee, toast and nou gat and, initially, also sage and chamomile aromas intertwined with herbal tea, candied bitter oranges and buttery aromas. Round, sweet and lush on the palate, this is a noble, very elegant, dense, refined, finely tannic and persistently saline TBA with citrus-bitters on the long, structured yet still very young finish. Deep ruby colour, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening. Ripe cherry fruit, a hint of dark berries, floral nuances of hibiscus. Medium complexity, red berry texture, fresh structure, subtle berry sweetness on the finish, already accessible.
Tasted as a filtered sample in December 2018, the 2016 Blend 2 Trocken offers an elegant and buttery bouquet of dark and red berries and cherries along with cassis, tobacco and toasty aromas. Intense and sweet on the palate but with elegance and good freshness, this is a fine, well-balanced and charming blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Zweigelt.
