N/V Noble Reserve Trockenbeerenauslese
Bright yellow gold. Fine nutty notes on the nose, fresh orange peel, mace, yellow peach fruit, fine herbal spice, which becomes darker and darker with air and takes on notes of damp straw and malt. Juicy yellow tropical fruit on the palate, delicate hints of passion fruit and pineapple, full-bodied, creamy and round, very harmonious and accessible, juicy apricot confit on the finish, already easy to drink and use. 90/100 Falstaff/Peter Moser

2004 TBA No. 1 Zweigelt
Medium brick red colour, delicate touch of ochre. Fine citrus and orange zest on the nose, subtle hints of red berries, delicate tobacco touch. Rather restrained bouquet overall. Fresh on the palate, very lively structure, fresh heart cherries, delicate gingerbread notes of piement and aniseed, complex, soft, silky tannins, already easy to drink, fresh plums on the finish. At 13% alcohol, and with Riesling-like acidity, it’s no wonder that despite 168 grams of residual sugar, Kracher’s 2004 #1 Zweigelt Trockenbeerenauslese Nouvelle Vague is notable for how little sweetness it displays. This tawny-colored libation drinks like a liqueur of candied blood orange and tangerine rind, cinnamon, and dried cherries. For all of its lushness of texture and its alcohol, it gives a light and very frisky account of itself, and the clean meatiness and leathery notes that emerge with increasing prominence the longer the wine warms in its glass, hold a fascination akin to that of red Burgundy. The liqueur-like finish is nonetheless refreshing, and rendered more so by a subtly saline streak.  92/100 The Wine Advocate David Schildknecht

2020 TBA No. 4 Grande Cuvee
The 2020 Trockenbeerenauslese Grande Cuvee No 4, 60% Welschriesling and 40% Chardonnay, is pale lemon-straw in color. Notes of acacia honey, beeswax, candied ginger, and lemon tart jump from the glass with hints of orange peel and spice cake. The palate is rich and unctuous, with a crisp backbone to lift the opulent sweetness to a long, energetic finish. 95/100 Lisa Perrotti-Brown; The Wine Independent Kracher Trockenbeerenauslese Grande Cuvée No. 4 2020 (Burgenland; 60% Welschriesling; 40% Chardonnay; 210 g/l of residual sugar; total acidity of 7.6 g/l; 10% alcohol). Tasted with Gerhard Kracher at the offices of his Bordeaux courtier. This is the principle release on la place, with the other cuvées only available as part of the 2020 collection case. And it contains, this year, all of the Chardonnay – there is no monocépage Chardonnay TBA in this vintage. Tutankhamun gold in the glass. More closed on the nose initially than the 2019, tasted alongside, but so amazingly pure. Candlewax. Saffron. Pineapple. Pears rather than apricots this year, confit melon. A little ginger. A touch of spice – above all, cinnamon. Crème brulée and burnt sugar. Peanut brittle. Apple pie with the pie crust. Assorted citrus notes. Lime. This is just fabulously pure, incredibly crystalline and energetic and intensely saline. Sapid and fresh as ever. This seems to pick its fruit each year – here we have the pixilated picture perfect rendition of white pear! More herbal and saline on the finish, with that fabulous and distinctly ‘Kracher’ mineral character. A brilliantly exciting wine and a revelation. 98+ Colin Hay, The Drinks Business The 2020 Trockenbeerenauslese No. 4 Grande Cuvée Nouvelle Vague is based on 60% Welschriesling (vi nified in large oak casks) and 40% Chardonnay (aged in barriques) and opens with an intense and concentrated bouquet with spicy quince aromas, lemon chutney, candiedlemons, ripe and lush apri cots and pineapples, hints of nougat, caramel and salt. It is very deep and complex but also refined, fresh and very elegant! Round, intense and highly refined on the palate, this is a saline and elegant, seemingly weightless Grande Cuvée that develops a spectacularly long and intense finish with salts and concentrated fruits such as melons, apricots, lemons, quinces and grapefruit. The aftertaste is intense and very long but of great finesse and elegance. This is a gorgeous wine, indeed, that is stunning a day after the opening and will need about a decade or more to gain even more complexity. 10% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in Lütjensee, Hamburg, in June 2023. To be released in mid-September 2023. 98/100 Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate Kräftiges Goldgelb, Messingreflexe. 97/100 Peter Moser, Falstaff Weinguide 2023/24
